Beard Papa's Cream Puffs

In Line at Beard Papa's!

In Line at Beard Papa's!

OK, I know it's not exactly fine dining, but I just had to share my love of Beard Papa's Cream Puffs! These things are amazing.

Beard Papa's is a chain of cream puff kiosks located all over Japan, including several locations in Tokyo.

The cream puffs are made right on site, and it's cool to watch them fill the little fresh-baked pastry shells with cream. The cream is always filled to order, so the puffs are never soggy.

The basic cream puff is vanilla custard, but they also have green tea flavored cream and even seasonal treats like pumpkin flavored cream puffs!

The cream puff pastry shells are crispy and airy on the outside, while the cream filling is, well, sinfully creamy!

I found my Beard Papa's at the West Exit Underground Shopping Mall of Shinjuku Station just outside the Odakyu shopping mall, but BP shops are located all over Japan, so just look for the store's prominent sign of the man Beard Papa himself!
